I May Have Sung This Song Before

I may have sung this song before
In the cool morning light, in the dead of the night
But I won't sing it anymore
I think I will hide it out of plain sight
It has been sung long enough
I am sure

I used to sing it at the door
When you said you'd arrive to stay in my life
But I won't sing it anymore
Even if you survived  in being my wife
It just won't sound as good
As before

Dancing waves
And singing butterflies
I guess the world just moves
And you and I...

Do you still hear it?

Dancing waves
And singing butterflies
All is safe
The world and you and I

I may have sung this song before
But I don't want to sing it anymore
